Well, we'd like to believe that it's spring!  There are projects to do!

Park Clean Up

Florence Park, Prairie du Sac has been adopted by us for quite a few years now. We've installed a rain garden, an exercise equipment pad, painted the swing benches and some of the tables (more than once), raked, pulled weeds, mulched, talked to neighbors, and enjoyed some ice cream!  Originally scheduled for today (4/30) we've moved to next Saturday (5/7) in hopes of dry weather. We'll be there in the morning, stop in and check us out! Remember, if you are welcome to bring your gloves and a rake with you!

Sauk Prairie R.I.D.E. Returns

June 4th marks the return of the Sauk Prairie R.I.D.E event. This is where we support the Sauk Pairie Police Department's efforts to get our youngest bike riders ready for summer vacation! A bunch of new bike helmets have been ordered, we're working on lining up the bike mechanics, hunPracticing Ridingting down the bits and pieces that allow SPPD to set up and use a riding course AND then we'll go get the snacks!

The LOCATION of R.I.D.E has changed to the playground of Grand Avenue School--park in the tiny parking lot and come around the back. You'll find us in the WEST pavillion of Marion Park.

Hours are short: 9am until 11am. Questions? Click through to the event, you'll find some answers there, if yours is missing, use the email to ask.

Fire on the River Pancakes and Kid's Area

These are back too!  What we know for certain is: (1) we will be serving pancakes to runners and anyone else in the vicinity early on Saturday morning and (2) the Kid's Area will be set up after we clean up the pancakes! Everything else is up for grabs at the time of this article!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to eat pancakes, supported our projects with a place mat ad, or by helping us bring in the breakfast we served--Cedarberry Inn, Prem Meats, the High School's staff, and our mystery shoppers!

Thank you to the Kiwanians, Builders Clubbers and Key Clubbers who pitched in to make and serve breakfast.

Did you miss us in 2021?

We missed you!

Like everyone else, Sauk Prairie Kiwanis spent the last year slowing down and waiting. We didn't get to do the Kid's Area at Fire on the River. We missed seeing the folks on our Mobile Meals route. We definitely missed our Pancake Breakfast at Bald Eagle Watching Days. We missed the company of our members.

Again, like everyone else, Kiwanis clubs all over the world began working together by using video conferencing tools. After awhile, some clubs figured out that the boundaries set by driving distances where gone--meeting speakers could come from any part of the world, any Kiwanian could visit any Kiwanis Club without leaving home. Who knew?!

Still, everyone slowed down, but that didn't mean stopping! Follow the link below to see what Sauk Prairie Kiwanis been doing.
